The Great Race Speakeasy

A 50th birthday party we helped create in Monrovia last June. The house was built in 1931 and originally housed an actual speakeasy. It has been beautifully restored and has historic landmark status. The party's theme was a hoot(The Great Race, the 1965 movie, starring Jack Lemmon, Natalie Wood, and Tony Curtis. It was a kick taking actual shots from the movie's opening sequence and lovingly tweaking them into signage for the event.

This car is still in the hands of the original purchasers' family...it was hired as an extra for the event. LOVE this car...
