The invitation to The Heart Foundation's 2009 Gala Honoring Wolfgang Puck. This collaborative design was inspired by event coordinator and muse Lisa Sapiro as well as the clean minimalist design ethic of some of the newer Wolfgang Puck restaurants. It was used as a template for many elements of the events' look and feel.
Part of our Invitation, "the lineup" for the night. Our work was an inspiration for the stage (created by Lisa Sapiro and AOO, who were the event coordinator and designers respectively)
The Heart Foundation founder Mark Litman, Berry Gordy, Wolfgang Puck, Dana Carvey, and Dr. P. K. Shah. Gordy, founder of Motown, was last year's recipient of the Steven S. Cohen Award, here to pass on the torch.
Dana Carvey, livening up the crowd.David Foster brought his always amazing array of musical talent for the evening.

Charice blew away the crowd with her amazing skills, along with two other young performers. And special surprise guest, Michael Bublé, sang last and enraptured the crowd.

With Wolfgang Puck as the years' Honoree, it was easy to see that one of the evening's highlights should be the food. A culinary extravaganza with guest chefs and unbelievable (heart-healthy) hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and courses ensued. It was difficult reading & designing these menu / backdrops without getting VERY hungry. Here is one of them for the restaurant 'CUT.'

It's in the details; A giant version of this colorized & reworked photo of a car headlight hangs in our studio.
On the way to Midway Airport a run-down motel caught my eye. After much love...this is the result.
A wintery road in the midwest...the snow and the sky simply merged.
